Tiffini Turpin Takes Home Top Conference USA Honors for Blazers!

UAB Freshman, Tiffini Turpin received two big honors from Conference USA, as they handed out their awards for the 2008 season. The two awards she won were:
*Co Freshman Player of the Year
*1st Team All Conference USA
This is a great accomplishment for the former BUSA 90 Elite standout and we are very proud of her!
Katy Frierson Takes Home Top Conference Honors for Auburn!

Auburn Freshman, Katy Frierson received two big honors from the SEC, as they handed out their awards for the 2008 season. The two awards won were:
*Freshman Player of the Year
*1st Team All SEC

National Youth License Course

National Youth License Course
Birmingham, AL
Alabama Youth Soccer Association, along with US Youth Soccer, will be hosting the National Youth License in the winter, 2009. The dates will be February 17th – 22nd , 2009, held at SportsBlast and 1996 Fields Soccer Complex in Birmingham. The National Youth License, a U.S. Soccer course, focuses upon the nature of children and the adjustments adults must make to coach them. The course curriculum covers the ages of 4-12 years old. All Coaches, Directors, and Administrators, involved with youth soccer will benefit greatly from the knowledge gained within the National Youth License.

CHICAGO (October 22, 2008) – U.S. Soccer Development Academy clubs are in the midst of SPARQ Training, a revolutionary training component that partnered with U.S. Soccer in April 2008. SPARQ, which stands for speed, power, agility, reaction and quickness, provides physical testing and training programs for each Academy club as well as the U.S. National Teams.
BUSA Players Receive Region III Inter- Regional Invitations

BUSA's
Lauren Arnold(91 Elite), Christine Schweer(91 Elite), Molly Atherton(92 Elite) and
Shanna Brooks(92 Elite) have all been selected by the Region III ODP coaching staff to attend a Inter-Regional event scheduled for December 26, 2008 through December 30, 2008. During this event Regional teams in the U17 and U19 age groups from all four regions are scheduled to compete against each other.
Annalika Steyn(92Elite) has also been selected by the Region III ODP staff to participate in the U16's event over Thanksgiving weekend.
US National Team coaches will be in attendance to select the top players for National Team participation in future events.
